Security mesh panels have no ribs. Twin wire panels are reinforced with double horizontal wires of a larger gauge, giving a flat, rigid and durable structure. 358 mesh uses a very tight 76.2 x 12.7 mm aperture for sites that need the highest resistance to climbing.

Technical data

656 and 868 twin wire mesh

656 panels are spot welded with double 6 mm horizontal wires and 5 mm vertical wires. 868 (heavy duty) uses double 8 mm horizontal wires and 6 mm vertical wires.

Panels finish with 30 mm extended wire ends at the top or bottom. 868 is also the infill we weld into WSP 130 sliding gates, so fence and gate match.

High-security, anti-climb

358 security mesh

358 is named after its 3" x ½" mesh on 8-gauge (4 mm) wire. The 76.2 x 12.7 mm aperture leaves almost nothing to grip, so the fence is very hard to climb, and the close wire spacing makes it hard to cut. Panels are held by full-height clamp bars with security fixings.

It's the usual choice for utilities, substations, data centres, transport and other critical sites. Ask us about taller fences, double-skin panels and anti-climb toppers.

Installation systems

  • CLIP

    Twin wire. A classic solution: 60 x 40 post with a plastic cap and hooks with threaded holes for the panel fixings.

  • CLAMP BAR

    Twin wire. High aesthetic quality: 60 x 40 post with a plastic or aluminium cap, panels held along their full height.

  • 358 clamp bar

    358. Full-height clamp bar with security fixings along the panel edges.

Panels can be installed on flat or sloping ground, directly above ground level or on a concrete gravel board. Posts can be concreted in or bolted to a concrete foundation using base plates.

A complete fence system

Our fences are complete systems: panels, posts and fixings, with matching sliding gates, single- and double-leaf gates and pedestrian gates, plus access control. One supplier for the whole perimeter, with technical support for trade installers.

Galvanised + powder coated

Colour & finish

Panels are welded from raw wire, then hot-dip galvanised (EN ISO 1461) or electro-galvanised (EN ISO 2081), and finished with a polyester powder coat (EN 10244-2). Zinc and powder coat together greatly extend the life of the fence, and coated panels carry a 10-year corrosion protection warranty. Panels are manufactured to EN 10223-7.
